Granting History
We want to leave the world a better place than it is today. To create enduring, positive and meaningful multi-generational change that improves the world for our children and their children.
Since the Foundation was established in 2019, we have provided over $2.7 million in funding to more than 64 organisations working on causes we care about. We have engaged with over 80 organisations who are working to create enduring change.
The Sustainable Development Goals were set up by the UN in 2015 designed to be a “shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future”. As a Foundation, we look to these goals for guidance and inspiration.
Of the 17 interlinked global goals, we are proud to report a strong trend in mission alignment across our granting.
SDG4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Approximately 43% of all funding provided by The Capricorn Foundation is working to accelerate this goal.
SDG10: Reduce inequality within and among countries.
Approximately 44% of all funding provided by The Capricorn Foundation is working to accelerate this goal.
SDG13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
