In acknowledging our inter-dependency, we seek opportunities that support preservation and protection of the natural environment and wildlife.
Our granting is focused on supporting community leaders and developing in-place capacity and by considering the measurable impact projects have on the most vulnerable populations of plants and animals and initiatives that can create a more sustainable world.
When making granting decisions we assess how the initiative can create or drive opportunities for others to advance or reach their potential. We seek out partnerships with community leaders and look for ways to amplify resources and impact. We work collaboratively and seek to achieve maximum impact for our contribution.
We also apply a gender lens, where appropriate to activities of the Foundation. This can include querying whether gender has been included as a consideration or discussing the Foundation’s activities from an inclusion perspective. We believe all people should have equal opportunity, and to achieve that, some require dedicated support or assistance.
